  2 day Demolition Safety Management

Covers the necessary steps to achieve a safe & successful demolition whether you are a client, an advisor, a contractor or indeed anyone affected by the demolition process this course will provide you with a greater understanding of the process covering the following topics:

Day 1

• Demolition & the law (Environmental, Building Act 1980, Regulations & notifications)
• Asbestos, environmental & sustainability considerations
• CDM 07 & duty holder responsibilities 
• BS 6187: 2000 (Code of practice for demolition) & the proposals for the update 
• Organisations (NFDC, IDE, EDA, NDTG what these are & how they can help)
• End of day 1 assessment by a multi-choice quiz

Day 2

• Planning (detailing what you must do and when including information flow)
• Tender information and procurement
• Site waste management plans (SWMPS) 
• Techniques & applications (illustrated with pictures & videos)
• On site arrangements incl material processing & recycling 
• Case study workshop with presentations & discussions
• Summary & end of the course

All courses are recognised by the HSE & the CITB for grant purposes
