British Sugar PLC having closed their York sugar factory and part of the old Allscott sugar factory employed Wayne Bagnall Ltd to assist with the planning & procurement for the demolition. They have now awarded Wayne Bagnall Ltd a contract to provide advice and undertake a series of random safety audits to ensure the demolition works proceed safely. The works is expected to be completed by Christmas 2008
The demolition contractors undertaking the work are GBM Ltd at York and EDS Ltd at Allscott.; both contractors are happy with these arrangements as one put a fresh pair of eyes by an experienced demolition engineer is always welcome.
